VILLAGE OF WESLEY HILLS: Businesses Reopening are Required to Have Safety Plans

Business

Village of Wesley Hills issued the following announcement.

As a follow up to yesterday's email, I am sharing additional information from Rockland County concerning safety for both employees and customers of the businesses that are reopening tomorrow and in upcoming Phases of New York State's reopening.

As we begin reopening and restarting the local economy it is important to note that all businesses are required to have safety plans in place ahead of time and have those plans on file at there places of business. Additionally they are required to submit an affirmation that they understand specific industry sector guidelines to NYS before they reopen.

Businesses will be putting in place social distancing protocols, requiring all employees and customers to wear masks if in frequent close contact with others, screening individuals for illness and implementing strict cleaning and sanitation standards.

These requirements will ensure we are moving forward in a way that protects employees and customers. We have great respect for our local business community and know that they will do what is required to protect everyone’s health and safety. All across Rockland we are approaching these next steps with safety first, people always as our motto.
