Congressman Mike Lawler praised the Supreme Court’s decision to protect access to mifepristone.

“As I said when running for Congress, I do not support any efforts to establish a national ban on abortion, whether it be through Congress or through the judicial system,” said Congressman Lawler. “The Supreme Court’s decision today to preserve access to mifepristone is an important one and I am thankful that they heeded my call earlier this year to stand down on this issue.”

Congressman Lawler is one of the most bipartisan members of the 118th Congress and represents New York’s 17th Congressional District, which is just north of New York City and contains all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
