Congressman Mike Lawler shared updates on his recent activities and perspectives in a series of posts made on November 20, 2025. Lawler, who represents New York’s 17th congressional district, highlighted meetings with notable figures, community engagement events, and foreign policy positions.

In a post from the morning of November 20, Lawler described meeting actress Jennifer Garner at an Aspen Institute breakfast focused on several social issues. He wrote, “It was great to meet Jennifer Garner this morning at an ⁦@AspenInstitute⁩ breakfast to discuss early childhood education, healthcare, food insecurity, and parenthood. My daughters love Once Upon A Farm food pouches, so it was nice to meet the woman who helped found it!” (November 20, 2025).

Later that day, Lawler referenced his participation in a local community event celebrating the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Bardonia. He stated, “Last week, I attended the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Bardonia’s 30th Anniversary Gala. Victor and his staff do an excellent job of teaching dance to people of all ages. They are also very involved with the community, volunteering and participating in many events.” (November 20, 2025).

Addressing international affairs as Chair of the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee in another post that day, Lawler discussed U.S.-Saudi relations: “As Chair of the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee, I can tell you that Saudi Arabia is a critical partner in support of our national and economic security. If we’re going to combat the malign influence of Iran, China, and Russia over the long term, Saudi Arabia remains a” (November 20, 2025).

Lawler has served as a member of Congress since January 2023 after winning election to represent New York’s Lower Hudson Valley region.
