On June 20, 2025, Congressman Lawler marked World Refugee Day by acknowledging the resilience of those who have been displaced from their homes. In his post, he stated: “Today, on World Refugee Day, we recognize the strength and determination of those who have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety.”
The following day, June 21, 2025, Lawler expressed gratitude for the opportunity to speak at a dedication ceremony in Zukor Park. He honored Mark Woods, highlighting his service in both military and law enforcement roles.
