Congressman Mike Lawler, who represents New York’s 17th Congressional District, recently shared updates on community events and ongoing constituent services through a series of posts on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
On October 19, 2025, Lawler highlighted the annual Pearl River Day event: “It was a beautiful day yesterday for Pearl River Day hosted by the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce. Now in its 18th year, there were over 200 exhibits from talented craftspeople, gourmet foods, live music, kids’ activities, and many other fun attractions for over 10,000”.
The following day, October 20, he recognized a local nonprofit’s milestone: “Care Net Pregnancy Center of Rockland recently held their 39th Annual Love Life Fundraising Banquet at Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship in New City. It was a beautiful event with people sharing how Care Net has helped them and their families throughout the years. Congratulations to”.
Later that same day, Lawler addressed his office’s efforts during a federal government shutdown: “Even in the middle of this shutdown, my team and I are continuing to fight for the Hudson Valley and to make sure our neighbors can still get the help they need from federal agencies. Whether it’s securing funding for our local communities, expanding access to federal help”.
Pearl River Day is an established community tradition organized by the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce that draws thousands of attendees annually. The Care Net Pregnancy Center of Rockland provides support services to individuals facing unplanned pregnancies and has been active in the region for nearly four decades. Congressman Lawler’s district includes parts of Rockland County and is known for its diverse suburban communities.
