In his final tribute of the day, Lawler wrote: “This week, I honored Ron Tocci. Ron is a Hudson Valley hero whose lifelong commitment to veterans is unmatched. Herman S. Geist was recognized as both a World War II veteran and an influential leader in Westchester County over several generations. Patricia “Patty” Rathschmidt was noted not only for her work with her family but also as founder of United For The Troops—a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting military personnel through care packages and other services in New York’s Hudson Valley region. Ron Tocci’s career includes military service with the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division as well as years advocating for veterans’ rights at both local and state levels.
These tributes reflect Congressman Lawler’s ongoing efforts to highlight community members who have demonstrated significant public service or support for veterans.
