Congressman Mike Lawler, who represents New York’s 17th congressional district, recently shared several updates on his official Twitter account.
On September 3, 2025, Lawler posted about the U.S. Capitol at night, writing: “The U.S. Capitol is always breathtaking – but there’s something magical about it at night. Join me on a behind-the-scenes look at the Capitol and get a peek at sites most folks never get to see when they visit Washington, D.C. See you in part 2!”
The following day, September 4, 2025, Lawler commemorated Wesley Mittman LePatner with a message stating: “Wesley Mittman LePatner was a remarkable leader, devoted wife and mother, and a true force for good in our community. Her life was defined by service, compassion, and conviction. Through her work with the UJA-Federation of New York and tireless volunteerism, she poured her energy”.
Later that same day, Lawler described hosting an event with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee: “An honor to host a roundtable with U.S. Ambassador to Israel @GovMikeHuckabee. We discussed the current outlook in Judea and Samaria and the West Bank. It was great for members to hear directly from the Ambassador on the current governance structure, the historical significance”.
Congressman Lawler has served New York’s lower Hudson Valley since being elected in November 2022.
