On November 7, 2025, Lawler highlighted his team’s participation in a local event: “My team attended Rockland’s Philanthropy Day Breakfast this week to celebrate those who enrich our communities and take care of our neighbors. Congrats to all the honorees!”
Later that day, he announced internship opportunities for students and young professionals interested in public service: “My offices in Washington, D.C. and New York’s 17th District are now accepting applications for the upcoming internship sessions. These internships offer hands-on experience in a congressional office, from researching legislation and attending hearings in D.C. to assisting with” The internships provide practical exposure to legislative processes and constituent services.
In an evening post on November 7, Lawler discussed new legislative efforts despite ongoing challenges: “Even during a shutdown, we’re getting things done. I just introduced the Community Investment and Prosperity Act, a bipartisan bill to help banks invest more in affordable housing, small businesses, and local jobs across New York.” The proposed legislation aims to increase financial support for affordable housing initiatives and economic development within the state.
Congressman Lawler has previously focused on community development and youth engagement as part of his legislative agenda. His district covers parts of the Lower Hudson Valley region of New York.
