Nyack, N.Y. – The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital will conduct a free breast cancer screening event on Friday, July 25, 2025. The screenings are available from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for individuals aged 40 and over who are uninsured and meet specific eligibility criteria.

The event is open to residents of Rockland, Orange, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Ulster Counties. It is funded by the Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley and Montefiore Nyack Hospital.

Appointments are recommended to ensure participation in the screening. Spanish-speaking assistance will be provided for those who need it. To determine eligibility and register for the event, individuals can call 845-348-8511.

The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital provides advanced 3D digital mammography technology that can detect up to 41% more invasive breast cancers compared to traditional methods. The center has received a three-year/full accreditation designation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), managed by the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, it is recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
