The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is organizing a free breast cancer screening event on Friday, July 25, 2025. The screenings will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for uninsured individuals aged 40 and over who meet specific eligibility requirements. Residents of Rockland, Orange, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Ulster Counties are eligible to participate.

This initiative is supported by the Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley in conjunction with Montefiore Nyack Hospital. To ensure participation, it is recommended that individuals register in advance. Assistance in Spanish is offered for those who need it. Interested participants can check their eligibility and register by calling 845-348-8511.

The Breast Center provides advanced 3D digital mammography technology capable of detecting up to 41% more invasive breast cancers than traditional methods. The center has received a three-year/full accreditation designation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), under the American College of Surgeons’ administration. Additionally, it holds the title of a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence awarded by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
