Representative Michael Lawler expressed his satisfaction as the Hudson River Protection Act successfully passed through the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Lawler stated, "The Hudson River Protection Act will go a long way to preserving the natural beauty of our Hudson Valley communities - something that has been a top priority of mine from day one." He emphasized his commitment to working with his colleagues to ensure the bill becomes law.
Congressman Pat Ryan also highlighted the significance of the bill, noting, "Never again will big corporations be able to turn our Hudson River into a parking lot for dangerous barges." He praised the community's collective effort in pushing for change and achieving success.
Congressman Marc Molinaro, a long-time conservationist, expressed his dedication to protecting the Hudson River. He stated, "With this bipartisan bill, we are taking another step to protect the Hudson and ensuring we are not doing anything that could erase the progress we’ve made."
