There were two gas stations in cities across Rockland County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.29 per gallon in the week ending Jan. 27, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of regular gas in cities within Rockland County was $3.61 per gallon.

Of the 23 gas stations in cities within Rockland County, nine offer regular gas.

The average price of regular gas in New York was $3.21, compared to $3.22 the week before.

Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 3.5% more for average goods and food they needed.

Gas data refers to the price of gas when paid for by cash, not credit. Gas stations can charge drivers more for using credit cards due to surcharge fees. This is prohibited in 10 U.S. states.
