Westchester County issued the following announcement.
“Our Country is the place that it is today because of those who have served. Throughout our nation’s history, brave men and women were called – or chose – to put their Country above themselves and fight for the truths for which we hold as self-evident. While 2020 is a year unlike any other, we never want to lose the respect that we have for this day and what it represents. We will never lose the love and recognition that we have for those we have lost, for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. So on this Veterans Day, let us all pause a moment to say ‘thank you’ to those men and women. Let us vow to always keep them in our thoughts, and never take for granted what others fought so selflessly to protect.”
