Census Bureau: More men than women in New Hempstead in 2019

Of the 5,385 people living in New Hempstead in 2019, 49.5 percent (2,665) were women and 50.5 percent (2,720) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Rockland Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,598-to-1,505. In the 65 and over age range, there were 288 females and 303 males.
