Census Bureau: 85.6 percent of people in Orangeburg were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 4,491 citizens living in Orangeburg in 2019, 3,842 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 2,101 of those people were female and 1,741 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
