Census Bureau: More women than men in New Hempstead in 2020

Of the 5,426 people living in New Hempstead in 2020, 51.6 percent (2,799) were women and 48.4 percent (2,627) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Rockland Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 64. In the 65 and over age range, there were 455 females and 319 males.
