Census Bureau: 71.2% of people in Rockland County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 336,485 citizens living in Rockland County in 2021, 71.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 239,574 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 116,607 were male, constituting 48.7%, and 122,967 were female, making up 51.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Rockland County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79%.
