The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York, will offer free breast exams and screening mammography for uninsured individuals aged 40 and over in Rockland County. The screenings are scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
These screenings are made possible through funding by the Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley and Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Senator Bill Weber will provide light refreshments during the event. Individuals interested in attending are encouraged to register to ensure an appointment is secured. Assistance in Spanish is available for those who need it, and registration can be completed by calling 845-348-8503.
The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital provides advanced services such as 3D digital mammography, which has been shown to detect up to 41% more invasive breast cancers. Recently, the center received a three-year/full accreditation designation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), administered by the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, it is recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
