75 coaches at institutions in Rockland County earned $15,084 on average in 2022

Rockland County’s 75 coaches earned an average salary of $15,084 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 12th lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at New York post-secondary schools during 2022.

Rockland County is home to three post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, St. Thomas Aquinas College stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $23,397.

Male coaches of men's teams received $18,978 on average in Rockland County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $15,723.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
