Today, Congressman Mike Lawler released a statement following the bipartisan passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025. The NDAA includes a significant pay raise for troops and billions in funding for new military construction, such as housing, childcare centers, and schools. The bill also supports allies Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine while addressing global adversaries.
“The bipartisan NDAA includes many wins for our country, and especially for our hard-working and courageous servicemembers,” said Congressman Lawler. “The significant pay raise for our armed forces is critical, and the additional quality of life improvements will ensure our servicemembers and their families receive the benefits they deserve.”
“I was also pleased to see continued investments in helping our allies and partners,” concluded Congressman Lawler. “We must confront Iran, China, and Russia to maintain global peace and protect American interests around the world, and the NDAA does just that.”
Congressman Lawler is one of the most bipartisan members of the 118th Congress and represents New York's 17th Congressional District, which includes all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
