Today, Congressman Mike Lawler condemned Russia's latest missile attack on Kyiv, which resulted in the deaths of at least 36 civilians and struck a children's hospital.

"Russia's attack this morning on a children's hospital is the latest in a long line of atrocities committed by Putin throughout his murderous rampage in Ukraine," said Congressman Lawler. "As NATO's Washington Summit commences tomorrow, the U.S. and our democratic allies must remain unified and unwavering in the face of Russia's repeated and escalating aggression. We must continue to ensure our democratic partner Ukraine has the support it needs to defend its homeland."

"This is genocide, plain and simple. If Putin is allowed to get away with his crimes, it is only a matter of time before the grisly scenes we are witnessing in Kyiv play out across Eastern Europe," Congressman Lawler concluded. "The barbaric assault on Ukraine's sovereignty and the slaughter of innocent civilians must end at once."

Congressman Lawler is one of the most bipartisan members of the 118th Congress and represents New York's 17th Congressional District, which is just north of New York City and contains all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
