Congressman Mike Lawler has released a statement following the confirmation of the death of Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas. Sinwar was reportedly killed by Israeli forces. He was identified as the mastermind behind the October 7th attack against Israel.
"Good riddance to the vile head of Hamas and the architect of its barbaric October 7th terrorist attack against Israel- the worst mass murder of Jews in a single day since the Holocaust. Yahya Sinwar has finally gotten his comeuppance and the Middle East is one step closer to peace with this monster gone," said Congressman Lawler.
Lawler is recognized as one of the most bipartisan members in Congress, representing New York's 17th Congressional District. This district is located north of New York City and includes all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
