Today, Congressman Mike Lawler introduced a comprehensive housing plan named the Revitalizing America's Housing Act. The announcement was made alongside local elected officials and realtors from the Hudson Valley. The plan aims to address various housing challenges affecting residents in the Hudson Valley and across the United States.

The proposed legislation includes bipartisan reforms designed to incentivize construction and reduce unaffordability. It also seeks to improve the availability of supplies, land, and financing for builders, owners, and purchasers. Additionally, it addresses health and safety concerns within communities' housing and aims to enhance oversight to ensure resources are properly allocated.

Congressman Lawler expressed his commitment to these goals: "I’m proud to be introducing the Revitalizing America’s Housing Act," he stated. He emphasized that the issues facing the housing system require comprehensive policy solutions, which this act intends to provide.

Lawler further remarked on his dedication to working with colleagues from both parties: "The issues confronting our housing system are myriad and manifold," he concluded. "They require a comprehensive set of policy prescriptions to address."

As one of the most bipartisan members of the 118th Congress, Congressman Lawler represents New York's 17th Congressional District. This district is located just north of New York City and includes parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
