WESTCHESTER COUNTY: Jan. 4: County Executive George Latimer Gives COVID-19 Briefing

Westchester

Westchester County issued the following announcement.

Westchester County teleworking success stories

When the global coronavirus pandemic struck, employers nationwide were forced to quickly adapt to ‘teleworking’ – or providing the tools needed to their teams to get the job done while remaining safe. Here in Westchester County, under County Executive George Latimer, all departments took that challenge head on.

View short clip featuring Director of Operations Joan McDonald and Planning Commissioner Norma Drummond on just how successful County departments have been in implementing this change.

County department heads have found that teleworking has resulted in more time to get actual work done – with less time spent talking or mapping out the work – which in turn creates better service for Westchester taxpayers.

As we enter into 2021, the County encourages other employers to further adapt to teleworking as we all look to remain safe from COVID-19 in 2021.
