Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) responded to the Supreme Court's unanimous decision regarding former President Trump's ballot access in Colorado. In a statement, Lawler emphasized the importance of voter participation and the role of the people in determining election outcomes.

"Today’s unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court decision upholds the idea that in America, people should decide elections, not the courts," stated Congressman Lawler. He highlighted the fundamental principle of democratic processes, where the electorate's choices should shape the future leadership of the nation.

“Voters will make their voices heard this November one way or the other, but it is their decision, not the decision of partisan state judges, that should decide the next President of the United States,” affirmed Lawler, underlining the significance of voters' autonomy in shaping the political landscape.

The 17th Congressional District of New York, represented by Congressman Lawler, encompasses regions including Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
