Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) acknowledged the success of a recent tele-town hall, which engaged over 4,000 participants from New York’s 17th Congressional District. The event lasted more than an hour and included hundreds of questions from constituents on topics such as government funding, economic stability, and local priorities.
“I’m deeply grateful for the incredible turnout and the engagement of over 4,000 attendees who asked hundreds of questions,” said Congressman Lawler. “I’ve never shied away from tough questions, and I never will. During my first term, I attended over 1,200 events, hosted more than 50 town halls and mobile office hours, spending hundreds of hours answering constituents. That’s the kind of accessibility the Hudson Valley deserves.”
Lawler reaffirmed his commitment to holding four additional in-person town halls across each county in his district. Dates and times for these events will be announced one to two weeks prior to ensure constituents have adequate notice. This follows his March 11 announcement regarding the 2025 town hall schedule available on his website.
Rockland - April
Westchester - May
Putnam - June
Dutchess - June
“These town halls are a vital opportunity to connect face-to-face, and I’m eager to continue these conversations in person,” concluded Congressman Lawler.
Congressman Lawler is recognized as one of the most bipartisan members of Congress and represents New York's 17th Congressional District. The district is located just north of New York City and includes all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
