SUFFERN CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: AP Week: Recognizing James Douglas

Douglas

Suffern Central School District issued the following announcement.

On the last day of #APWeek20, we recognize Suffern High School Assistant Principal, James Douglass. James always has our students’ best interests at heart and works closely with our teachers and staff to offer outstanding classes and programs. His advice on home-learning:

“A practical strategy my family is using during this time is to develop a completion chart. My kids keep track of their work and check off each subject after they have completed the work for that day. Without this type of tracker, it is difficult to keep track of what has been done and what still needs to be done. Organization helps to alleviate stress.

During this time, it is important to continue your social and emotional connections with others. I think connecting via email, text and video to maintain our relationships with others (family, friends, and work) is the key to a healthy, positive outlook. We are all in this together.”

Lastly, before we left school, I decided that I would not shave my beard until we returned. It turns out that may not have been the best decision… Go Mounties!”
