SUNY Empire State College enrolls 9,307 undergrads

At SUNY Empire State College, 81 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Saratoga Springs enrolled 10,424 students in fall 2018, including 9,307 in undergraduate and 1,117 in graduate programs, data shows. 16.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

92 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 6 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (58 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).
