May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Rockland County Executive Ed Day presented Mark Sanchez, President of the Filipino Association of Rockland, with a proclamation declaring Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month in Rockland County.
The proclamation reads: “Rockland County is dedicated to eliminating racial, cultural and social barriers and building bridges of understanding and respect within our diverse community. As County Executive, I call upon all Rockland citizens to participate in the many cultural and educational programs throughout the month, and to express appreciation for the contributions of our families, friends and neighbors of Asian American and Pacific Islander heritages, that make Rockland such a wonderful place to live and work.”
