Graduates earn 602 degrees from Dominican College of Blauvelt

About 55 percent of the 602 degrees and certificates handed out by Dominican College of Blauvelt in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Orangeburg conferred 145 bachelor's degrees and 119 doctor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in physical therapy/therapist. Data shows the school gave out 112 doctor's degrees in physical therapy/therapist, followed by 84 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 69 bachelor's degrees in general social sciences.

The college enrolled 1,956 students for 2017-18, including 1,450 in undergraduate programs and 506 in graduate programs.
