Nyack College issued the following announcement.
The welcome mat is still out for women around the globe who seek personal and transformational growth.
Empower, the certificate program that came about through an articulation agreement between Nyack College, Alliance Theological Seminary (ATS) and the Metro District of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, offers a roster of powerful courses. The Empower registration deadline has been extended to Tuesday, September 1.
The three levels of study are EMPOWERone (the program prerequisite), EMPOWERengage and EMPOWERproclaim. Content taught by a dynamic faculty includes Old Testament Survey; Understanding Your Calling; Role of the Holy Spirit; Cultivating a Listening Ear; Dealing with Grief and Anxiety; Dealing with Conflict; New Testament Survey; Theology of the Kingdom; Community & Mission of the Church; Prayer and Intercession; Identifying & Healing Family Wounds; and Spiritual Gifts. Mentoring small groups are another impactful feature.
After completing all assignments and attending all seven Saturday sessions, students earn six credits that can be transferred to undergraduate degree programs at Nyack College or graduate degree programs at ATS. Not only will Empower kick off the 2020-21 year beginning Saturday, September 19 with new sites based in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but live stream sites are also available to women worldwide. Empower is directed by Associate Professor of Spiritual Formation at Nyack/ATS, Dr. Wanda Walborn.
As one alumna of the program commented, “I didn’t even know I needed Empower.” Could that be you?
