Nyack College issued the following announcement.
On Monday, September 28 at 8:00 PM, members of the Nyack College Alliance Graduate School of Counseling (AGSC) community will join with members of the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) New York City chapter and Redeemer Counseling Services to present a free workshop and panel discussion entitled, “Under Duress: COVID-related Stress, Burnout and Risk of Suicide.”
The more than 200,000 COVID-19 deaths in our nation are a distressing statistic. What is equally excruciating is the potential mental health issues that healthcare professionals face under the weighty demands of their jobs.
In addition to healthcare employees, their families, pastors and other church leaders are encouraged to participate in the workshop so they can become familiar with the signs and symptoms of stress, burnout and suicidal risk as well as learn ways to appropriately support their loved ones.
Registration for this free event is required.
